The Yahoo! User Interface Library (YUI) is a pretty innovative utility in the Open Source developer field. YUI is almost completely hosted and interacted through the files on your computer. The YUI project is hosted on SourceForge (Really Yahoo!? Why not on Google Code?). Anyways, My favorite feature is the Logging right in the window and the built-in Yahoo UI Library search interface (see below). There are also more than 180 functional examples right now.
However, let’s get a description directly from Yahoo! themselves:

Hmmmm, I’ll go easy on MyBlogLog since they were so nice about it in their blog post. Plus I love Yahoo! and MyBlogLog. So good luck guys in fixing it…
We found a bizarre error when we pushed the Yahoo! IDs live today. We decided, rather than put all of you through a painful login twilight zone, that it would be better for our members if we restricted access to the site until we figure this one out.
So, while we tear our hair out fixing this one, relax away from your computer for a little while. We’ll be back ASAP!

Yahoo finally updates us on when our new (non-beta) mail is coming… Previously stated after their big Yahoo! is not in beta party Yahoo! Mail Beta Rollout Might take 6 Weeks for Some. Well, I’m on 3 weeks now already. I mean, COME ON!
Judging from the weekend comments, and because my last post answered one of the other pressing topics, the big question on many of your minds is “When will my account be switched out of beta?”. Unfortunately the official answer is, I really can’t say because exactly when the roll-out reaches you depends on the “farm” (short for server farm) where your account “lives.”

Recently these days Yahoo! has been making some moves. I’m proud of them! In the past month we’ve seen several exciting updates from Yahoo, here are several posts in the past month I’ve already covered:
However, there are more to add to that, but instead of separate posts, you can see some of the moves and news Yahoo! has been making:

Good for Yahoo! This should hopefully be one of many steps that Yahoo! is taking to improve their Yahoo! Mail services, since I still haven’t been upgraded to their non-Beta version yet.

Yahoo! seems to have opened up an Application Gallery that you can “Find and use cool mashups and plug-ins that use Yahoo! technologies”. Thankfully it’s broken down into applications for individual Yahoo! Applications like Messenger, Mail, Maps, Del.Icio.us and Flickr . Unfortunately, it seems that most of the Yahoo! applications offered here… Suck! However, here are a few good ones…

Yahoo is going the “Open” route like Facebook and probably in hopes for the hype and user increase that Facebook received. Unfortunately, I somehow doubt that they’ll come close. Either way, I applaud Yahoo! since I’m a big fan and this will definitely help. Especially since I use Yahoo! Mail, which they have already opened to developers. Also, see below for Yahoo!/Entrepreneurs post on 10 Search Engines You Don’t Know About (but you should use, depending on the case and cause)…

Sorry, Ryan K of Yahoo’s Mail Blog, but this was definitely the worst video demonstration I’ve ever seen. Not only was the video blurry, I really didn’t learn anything from it… Horrible… Keep testing and trial and error-ing, but only release it when it’s good (unlike I would do)…

Yesterday, Yahoo announced that it’s now easier to submit your site to Yahoo Site Explorer: all you have to do is have a valid sitemap.xml file on your site.

Straight from MyBlogLog’s Blog:
- So, without further beating around the bush, I want to let you know that later this week we will be merging all MyBlogLog accounts with their owner’s Yahoo! accounts.
- The only bugger is that you will have to re-upload your avatar image (groan).
- Now you can choose to keep your current name, use your Yahoo! name or even change your screen name completely.
Personally, I don’t believe anything will be easy until I do it. So let’s see what you can do for us Yahoo!
