  1. Become the starting point for the most consumers
  2. Become the must-buy for advertisers
  3. Deliver open, industry-leading platforms that attract the most publishers and developers

Isn’t that the goal of most web based companies? Either way, good for Yahoo! and good for all the announcements below:

Shout for Yahoo! Week in Review Oct 5th - 12th

To be quite honest, there hasn’t been any really exciting developments that I’d be all crazy for this week. I did FINALLY get the full, no longer beta, new Yahoo! Mail and other than that… Yahoo! added Yahoo! Answers content into oneSearch and they celebrated the 10th Birthday of Yahoo! Mail. Here’s the whole scoop of Yahoo’s progress this week directly from Yahoo!:

Woooo! I was finally upgraded to new Yahoo! Mail

WOOOOO! Finally. Yahoo! only took the maximum 6 weeks to finally get me going, so I wonder how everyone else is out there? Did anyone else have to wait this long? I assume people are still waiting?

Not that it’s such a big change, it’s actually pretty sexy. Take a look at mine:

Yahoo is pushing right alongside Google

Wow. Yahoo is making some moves recently and not the crappy dance moves at their ‘Search Bar Party’. I’m talking about actually changing up some key aspects to not only make current Yahoo-hooers! happy but possibly take some of the lost souls not using Yahoo or Google. So, here’s what’s up in Yahoo!’s world…

Yahoo’s Launch Party at the ”Search Bar’

Yahootini Well, Yahoo had another party and this time there might be some cause for celebration. Last time Yahoo had a party was for taking their Yahoo! Mail out of beta. Well, guess what??? It’s a month later and I’m still not in Beta! :(

Here are a few photos taken at yesterday’s internal launch party for the new Yahoo! Search. After many sleepless nights, it’s great to see some of the positive reactions from users. Now that we’ve had a few celebratory drinks — the Yahootini was quite popular — we’re back to working on more new features and improvements. Stay tuned and keep sending us your feedback and ideas.

Yahoo Loves Google a Little Too Much

So now that Yahoo! Search looks like the New Microsoft Live Search a bit, let me point out 2 factors that Yahoo! has imitated Google that I’ve recently noticed.

  1. Yahoo!’s blogs run off of Google’s FeedBurner
  2. New Yahoo! Web Search Page:

Yahoo! Search Marketing adds Traffic Quality Feature for Control

Yahoo Search Marketing Blog

Yahoo! Search Marketing is making some moves recently. They realize that Google is winning the race, Microsoft is making moves/catching up and Yahoo! hangs somewhere in between for the 3 major players.
