fattytalking Apparently there is a site called GeeksareSexy or (GAS) .com, which apparently is hosting a “How To” writing contest for Geeks. Thanks to Perfomancing for pointing out this contest, here is my stab at it:

Apple is feeling the pressure – Going to Make iPhone Changes Soon

small-iPhone Let’s face it, Steve Jobs certainly does not want his newly reformed empire to come crashing down on him. Unfortunately for him, half the internet chatter on Apple these days are related to the iPhone. Nokia has even entered the iPhone bashing game with their latest campaign of “Open to Anything“. So, what’s Steve and Apple to do?

Here are my predictions for the upcoming iPhone Updates (within the next 2 months):

Microsoft should go Social! Release APIs for Outlook and Exchange

Microsoft Microsoft is supposedly looking into purchasing a stake of Facebook, but honestly Facebook is it’s own entity now, like Apple, Google and yes Microsoft. So, I think it’s about time Microsoft goes social for themselves. There are so many people “forced” to use Microsoft products and applications in their daily lives. Microsoft Word and Excel are the standards for every major business out there. Microsoft Outlook has always been my standard email, calendar and contact client.

Dear Digg: About time to add Google and Yahoo to Technology Category

After reading the Digged “Dear Digg, make “Podcasts” a better place!“, I figured it was acceptable for me to write my own open letter to Digg.

Dear Digg,

Industry News under Technology can be so many things nowadays. However, isn’t it about time to add Google and Yahoo to the subcategories? They are two major players in the Technology world of today. In addition, both have them have been making heavy strides in the news recently. Especially Google. Continue Reading Dear Digg: About time to add Google and Yahoo...

The Social World will Explode – But My Friends Won’t Be there

PublicSpeaking I’ll admit, most of my friends are on Facebook, MySpace and Friendster, although none of them really use MySpace and Friendster anymore. Facebook has become my actual real life friends base of Internet social operations. Now, I’ve joined many other services (Orkut, Digg, etc.) just to see how they are, and I use StumbleUpon, Digg and Del.Icio.us, but my “real life” friends all aren’t there. It’s quite sad. Only 1 of my friends blogs. I got 5 of my friends interested in reading blogs/rss feeds after I started my blog. However, that’s about the extent.

Now that Google is supposedly releasing their “Social” set of APIs on November 5th, where will I be without my friends to back me up?

TechCrunch recently published:

Why does Verizon Wireless PDA Phone Options Suck So Much? No New PDA in Months – No WM6

Verizon Wireless Let me start with I’ve been using cell phones with Verizon Wireless since 1999 and overall their cell reception service is GREAT! Especially when I was up in Ithaca, New York (at Cornell). I had a few hiccups when I moved to NYC, but since I alerted them to the fact of the poor cell coverage they fixed it within a few weeks (apparently people in my building never actually complained to Verizon.

Is anyone else getting Paranoid? – Facebook Edition

Nervous borrowed from ideaseller.comI think one of the first main attractions of Facebook was that it was simple and easy, safety/privacy was never even a thought. Now before we even talk about when Facebook opened it’s platform, there was an e-mail/message going around that said you can block and choose which options of your Facebook Profile were public and what can never be shared. That was nice and comforting that we had an option.

Digg’s Category Selection Sucks

Anytime I actually “Digg” something I never know which Category to post  it into. Honestly now, what are they thinking leaving out major pieces of each category… How am I supposed to place this post in the “Most Appropriate Topic”? What would you classify this post?

Here are my suggestions:

Under Technology: Where’s Google? Blog News? Software — how about Web Applications?

Videos: How about Personal Vlogs? International? Dance

Sports: what’s the difference between Extreme and Other Sports? Underwater Basket Weaving is definitely extreme!

First Digg Categories

And of course, if it’s not Space, Environment or Health, it obviously fits into General Sciences…

Entertainment could definitely use an “Industry News” button

Finally, Gaming, I love you Gaming!!!

ABC Producers skew American Inventor

American Inventor

ABC producers have definitely and obviously skewed this and the first voting episode of American Inventor. Only 6 candidates remained and there were 3 obvious choices from there. However, during the 6 presentations, the Judges and the takes that ABC Producers aired all made the other 5 contestants “look pale in comparison” to the Guardian Angel invention.

Gregg ChavezThe Guardian Angel invention by firefighter and father of 6 children, Gregg Chavez,is basically a compressed fire extinguisher and alarm for a Christmas tree that could potentially catch on fire, thus saving lives. During his “pitch” light hearted exciting music played, the judges smiled and said “great” and “you proved me wrong” as in his invention was a miracle. Upon sending him off after his “pitch” and Question and Answers they said “Thank You Very Much”. He was also second to last before an invention that definitely should not have made it to the “Top 3”. So Gregg Chavez and his life-saving invention would be fresh in the minds of American voters.

The other 5 had anxious and “uh oh” music. The other 5 were asked tough questions and scrutinized over “Market Research” and statistics. The other 5 were all sent off in rude, condescending toned “You can leave now”.

Hmm, I wonder who is going to get the most votes? I wonder who is going to win?

President Stupid tried to Cancel PBS

President Bush Monkey FaceUnfortunately there are millions of Stupid Americans out there in the United States and my guess is many of them, including President Bush didn’t watch PBS. Well, we all know President Bush was too busy blowing coke up his nose, drinking himself even “stupider” and running oil companies into the ground. So in his latest attempt to destroy the intelligence of the citizens of the United States, President Stupid tried to cancel PBS. However, thankfully Congress is smarter than the monkey-faced president and blocked him.

My guess, he’s trying to dumb Americans so they don’t realize that as the President of the United States he’s made over 100 (possibly 1,000) moronic judgements that affect people like you! That’s right, YOU!
