While Open Source programs/software are usually affiliated with zero cost, SourceForge has recently announced SourceForge Services Marketplace (in beta) for Developers. To me it appears that there is an open call to pay Developers to change/update/upgrade existing projects or perhaps even to develop new projects….

Take that Silicon Valley and Seattle! Take that West Coast Dorks/Geeks/Nerds! Take that!
Sometimes referred to as Silicon Alley, owing to its purported small size, New York’s high technology sector has seldom been seen as a major player.
But a nonprofit group hopes to challenge that perception when it releases a report, due out Monday, that says that New York has more high technology workers than innovation meccas like Seattle, or even Silicon Valley itself.

Pre-sales have started for the Vudu Box, which is the hardware/software bundle that movie lovers have been waiting for. I have Netflix, I have 250+ DVDs, but there’s always a time when you’re craving a movie that you want to see and you want to see it now, while you’re in the mood!
