I just got this postcard in the mail:

That’s right, apparently the American public voted for this. Makes sense though, I just really wonder what the other options are. Also, I can’t believe the United States Postal Service said “May the Force be with you!”
Here are the details (the back of the postcard):

I promise, unless something monumental happens, this is my last mention of Facebook today.
According to All Facebook, you can now access your Gmail on Facebook… Seems a little risky so far, here’s what the 2 MIT developers of the Gmail Facebook Application have to say:
Fmail provides a way for you to access your Gmail from Facebook. It’s based on Gmail-Lite, an open source project. We’re still working on ironing out bugs and making it smoother and faster experience, but in the future we plan to add new features that will allow Fmail to interact more with Facebook. Until then, enjoy it and feel free to send us any suggestions or comments you have.
fmail… Those MIT guys are genius (for coming up with the name and the application)!

This very unclear graph shows the fact that Londoners are going ga-ga over Facebook. Just another example of how England wants to be us… Read the full story via Facebook’s blog at London Calling.

Seriously?
Here it is, straight from Facebook’s Blog:
The PHP programming language has solidified itself as the language of choice for many top internet properties, including Facebook. PHP is easy to use and integrates well with Apache, Memcache, and MySQL. Despite its suitability for web development and scripting, PHP is generally not the best choice for standalone software or servers. C++, on the other hand, is well suited for building both online and offline services.

Only two weeks after my post: Why does Verizon Wireless PDA Phone Options Suck So Much? No New PDA in Months - No WM6, Verizon Wireless seems to be listening to at least the fact that I’m complaining. Starting October 7th I can change my calling, voice and data plans without changing my contract. Usually the 1 thing that really sucked about Verizon Wireless amongst my complaint above. Here it is, straight from their mouths:

Let’s face it, Steve Jobs certainly does not want his newly reformed empire to come crashing down on him. Unfortunately for him, half the internet chatter on Apple these days are related to the iPhone. Nokia has even entered the iPhone bashing game with their latest campaign of “Open to Anything“. So, what’s Steve and Apple to do?
Here are my predictions for the upcoming iPhone Updates (within the next 2 months):

Well, that was quick. Only 4 hours later and the mystery of the 4 is over. I got 1 of the 4 right… A New Blackberry… Also confirms no new WM6 PDA yet. All 3 besides the Pearl will most likely be running off of Verizon’s mobile OS. Those bastards! Thanks Engadget Mobile for ruining the surprise/disappointment!

Well, a little more than a week after my post Why does Verizon Wireless PDA Phone Options Suck So Much? No New PDA in Months - No WM6 and just a few days after a “secret unveiling” of 2 New Verizon PDA with Windows Mobile 6 Soon? it seems that maybe Verizon Wireless is finally making some moves with 4 new phones…

Just returned from the Digital Life 2007 techie/nerdy show and boy was I disappointed. I don’t remember where I read it but someone said that this show was only 2nd in Tech shows for America to CES. Shit. I hope CES was at least 10 times better and larger. I was actually bored!
The highlight was definitely Palm’s Free Drink tickets! Thank You Palm. Here are some photos, including the crappy freebies that I returned with… but an honorable mention for Microsoft Vista’s walk-in freebie of playing cards….
