Nelson Haha

The Facebook Secrets blog, which ignited a storm after publishing the Facebook homepage source code, has done it again: the source code for Facebook search is now out in the wild and running free.

Junk In A Box: The Madness Begins with a 300-Page AT&T Bill for iPhone

I’d like to put my “Junk” in her “Box”… this post was mainly just for that line, but enjoy the fact that AT&T is wiping out entire forests in just a few months.

300pages.jpgFollowing this weekend’s Gore Alert post, Justine Ezarik ?of JustinTV fame? has just received her first iPhone bill. Three. Hundred. Pages. See her unwrapping the package from AT&T in the video after the jump.

Come back later to find out what she got for her 300 sheets. For that price, I’d want oiled-up Greek boys?or failing that, Spanish ones. [Tasty Blog Snack] Junk In A Box: The Madness Begins with a 300-Page AT&T Bill for iPhone

So that’s what a Bong is

Workmen clean the clock face of St Stephens Tower which houses Big Ben in London Saturday Aug. 11, 2007. Big Ben is losing its bongs — temporarily. The famous bell that sounds the hour at Britain's Houses of Parliament is to fall silent for scheduled repairs for only the fourth time in a century and a half. Officials said the distinctive bongs would strike for the last time at 8 a.m. (0700 GMT) Saturday before four to six weeks of maintenance work on the clock. (AP Photo/Lewis Whyld/PA Wire)AP - Big Ben’s bongs fell silent Saturday as workers rappelled down Parliament’s iconic clock tower, beginning a month of maintenance work on the clock and its world-famous bell.

Apple introduces My iTunes Widgets

My First Apple related post, as far as I can remember, read on…

Everyone is going bonkers about social networking sites, the kids they like ‘em. Apple, not being foolish, hopes to cash in on that trend with My iTunes Widgets. My iTunes Widgets are 3 widgets that you can embed into a website (Apple suggests your blog, or your social networking site profile) which will display either your most recent iTunes purchases, your favorite iTunes artists (based on how much of their stuff you have purchased), or your iTunes reviews.
You have to enable My iTunes widgets via your profile in the iTunes Store. Once enabled you are whisked to a webpage to design your widget (within limits) and get the code which you then paste into your website. No muss, no fuss.
[via Mac Rumors]
Update: I forgot to add that the widgets use Flash, so they won’t work on the iPhone (whoops!), and these seem like they were made with iWeb ’08’s new Web Widget feature.

What the F is a JPEG committee

Honestly, I could care less about a JPEG Standards and ”Windows Media Photo”, but there’s a JPEG Standards Group? Who are these people? Why are they meeting? Doesn’t the Interweb usually figure this shit out for itself?

Microsoft’s ongoing attempt to establish its own photo format as a JPEG alternative (and potential successor) took another step forward today when the JPEG standards group agreed to consider HD Photo (originally named Windows Media Photo) as a standard.

Anti-Semitic Web site on Google

When you Google the word “Jew”, one of the first websites that pops up is http://www.jewwatch.com/ –an anti-Semitic, hate-filled harangue masquerating as “scholarly, factual, informational”

Add your name to the petition to remove www.jewwatch.com from Google’s search engine.

(Check out the site and you will understand why.) In order for Google

to remove this, they would need a petition of over 50,000 requests….

Go to : http://www.petitiononline.com/rjw23/petition.html to sign the petition.
