WordPress 2.3 is officially out and therefore the testing and bugs are coming in for the WordPress plugin developers. There are a slew of updated plugins being released that either originally promoted their 2.3 compatibility and new errors/bugs were corrected or plugins making it into their 2.3 compatibilty for the first time.

I’m not a Gmail user normally, I’m all about the Yahoo! mail for my personal mail (I hate advertisements). Anyways, after setting alerts for the my past article, Google Alerts versus Saved Google Blog Search Feed, when I was in Gmail, I noticed my Internet Explorer Feed icon was lit up. So I clicked it, and got this: http://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom
When I inserted this link into my feed reader, it automatically detected that it was a Secure Feed and asked for my username and password.
Bam! This solves my issue that I never check Gmail and my Google Alerts (which goes to my Gmail account) issue!

So, I think this week went pretty well for Mashable. I really enjoyed the newer layout for the CSS Toolbox which included screenshots below each of the “tools”. Microsoft is supposedly looking into purchasing a stake of Facebook, but honestly Facebook is it’s own entity now, like Apple, Google and yes Microsoft. So, I think it’s about time Microsoft goes social for themselves. There are so many people “forced” to use Microsoft products and applications in their daily lives. Microsoft Word and Excel are the standards for every major business out there. Microsoft Outlook has always been my standard email, calendar and contact client.
