At 9:00 a.m. on October 13, you’ll get the green light: The requirements for the 2007 Insomnia Film Festival will be posted at www.apple.com/go/insomnia, and your team will have 24 hours to write, cast, shoot, edit, score, and upload your movie. Then you—and everyone else you can convince—will vote online for the best film (hopefully yours), and industry players like Barry Sonnenfeld, James Mangold, and Nora Ephron will screen the 25 highest-rated entries. If the public or the pros pick your masterpiece, each member of your team will get a MacBook Pro, Final Cut Studio 2, Logic Studio, and Shake. How’s that for a Hollywood ending?
The distinguished panel of judges for the 2007 Insomnia Film Festival:
Barry Sonnenfeld
Fred Armisen
James Mangold
Jim Sheridan
Mary Harron
Mira Nair
Nora Ephron
Terry George
