WordPress Plugins, Updates and WordPress 2.3 Posts

Oh it’s getting exciting now and people are feeling the pressure to update their WordPress installations to 2.3 and the bloggers are out there to help follow bloggers on tips for Upgrading. Surprisingly and not surprisingly there are quite a lot of updated or new plugins now with 2.3 compatibility. I would like to thank everyone out there who is working hard on upgrading their plugins, themes and keeping the world posted on what to do…

New Plugins:

FCC Ribbon Manager* - The Ribbon Manager plugin give the ability to add a side ribbon on the blog without touching the template file or the css.
Last.fm for Wordpress - Last.fm for WordPress displays your recently listened tracks in your WordPress blog.
Smilies Themer - Smilies Themer allows you to use smilies (emoticons) themes (or packs) to replace the Wordpress default ones.
UTF8 Sanitize* - This plugin is designed to handle the broken characters that might appear on your blog posts, if their content is converted from/to UTF8 and ISO-8859
del.icio.us for Wordpress - Del.icio.us for WordPress displays your latest del.icio.us bookmarks in your WordPress blog.
Stray Quotes - This plugin allows you to embed random quotes into your pages. It comes with a management tool and a option page in the administrative console
wp-forecast* - wp-forecast is a highly customizable plugin for WordPress, showing weather-data from accuweather.com.
