Just came back from Nintendo World in Rockefeller Center, NYC… It was 2:30 during their Carnival Launch party. We saw a little boy win a Wii during a Carnival Competition and there was popcorn and Cotton Candy. MORE IMPORTANTLY, it was 2:30 on a Saturday and there were at least 100 Wii’s left and no line. Says the man behind the cash register:
We’ve been told that Nintendo is actually diverting Wii’s to our store from Japan. We’ve had little lines and frequently don’t sell out our Wii’s until closing, if that. It’s been slow for the past 2 or 3 weeks, but we expect mid-September for the lines to start again.
So, you heard it, if you’re planning on getting a Wii for anybody or planning one for the holidays, go now, pick one up NOW!
